About us

Pioneer Masonry Restoration Company has been in the facade restoration and waterproofing business since our founding in 1957. In this time we have completed over 16,000 projects throughout the Pacific Northwest, as well as in Alaska, Canada, the Czech Republic, Romania, China and Russia.   We specialize in commercial and industrial work.

We have built the most skilled and experienced team in the business. Most of our key personnel have been with us for over 20 years; many for over 25 years. We believe this broad base of experience in all phases of façade restoration and waterproofing give us the knowledge to approach our work with skill and confidence. We also believe we have developed a reputation for quality work, customer service and for approaching our work in an ethical and professional manner.

 

Mike Field, President

In addition to being President and General Manager of the company, Mike was our Project Manager on such projects as the American Embassies in Prague, Bucharest and Beijing; the Legislative Building (State Capitol) in Olympia, Queen Anne High School and IBM Building in Seattle. Mike has been with Pioneer Masonry for 49 years. During his tenure at Pioneer, the company has performed restoration projects on over 12,000 buildings.

Ben Jacobsen, Vice President

Ben has been with Pioneer Masonry for 19 years, starting in the company's apprenticeship program. After earning his journeyman card, he worked as a foreman on key projects such as the Seattle Asian Art Museum, Seattle Town Hall, and DeSmet Hall in Spokane. Ben then transitioned to project management, overseeing major projects like the Frye Apartments and 1111 Third Avenue. Today, as vice president and project manager, Ben continues to manage projects of all sizes while contributing to the company’s ongoing success.

Roger Peterson, Project Manager/Estimator

Roger has been with Pioneer Masonry for 26 years. During his time in the field, he worked as foreman for many large projects such as the Seattle Tower, Pacific Ford McKay, and UW Health Sciences before moving into the Project Manager position he holds today. As Project Manager, he has overseen many large projects such as Franklin High School, UW Seismic Improvements, and Nordstrom Store 1 (Downtown Seattle).

Joel Vaughn, Project Manager/Estimator

Joel has been with Pioneer Masonry for 26 years. During his time in the field, he worked as foreman for many large projects such as the Fairmont Olympic Hotel, Arlene Schnitzer Hall in Portland, and First United Methodist Church before moving into the Project Manager position he holds today. As Project Manager, he has run many large projects such as Harbor Steps, Lincoln High School, and the Federal Office Building.

Drew Mack, Superintendent/Safety Officer

Drew has been with Pioneer Masonry for 19 years. During his time in the field, he worked as foreman for many large projects such as the Lodge at Saint Edwards, Pacific Tower, Villa Academy and Daniel Bagley Elementary School before moving into the General Superintendent position he holds today. As Superintendent, he in charge of project scheduling, crew dispatch, and safety. Drew makes sure our many jobs are manned and our crews are prepared for each project.

Shana Jackson, Office Manager

Shana has been with Pioneer Masonry for 24 years. Shana is in charge of our accounting and office management. She is a graduate of the University of Washington, and, most importantly, Ballard High School. She manages our payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Derek Lambert, Warehouse/Shop Manager, Purchasing

Derek has been with Pioneer for 37 years. In addition to
maintaining our yard and warehouse area, Derek takes care of permitting, and material and equipment purchases.

Mike Webb, Warehouse/Shop Asst. Manager, Truck Driver

Mike has been with Pioneer for 27 years and assists the yard
manager with facility maintenance in addition to making all our deliveries

Scott Mckee, Mechanic

Scott has been with Pioneer for 31 years and oversees the
Pioneer fleet maintenance, specialty fabrication, and equipment repair.
